In our recently renovated mid-century modern dining room and lounge we serve superb fare, wine and craft cocktails. | Club History |
El Macero Country Club was founded in 1961 by C. Bruce Mace as part of the El Macero property development. In 1966, the members purchased the club from the Mace family and it became a proprietary position facility as a California Non-Profit Corporation. El Macero Country Club is located near Davis, about 10 miles west of Sacramento, in Yolo County. The club, and its golf course, meander through the El Macero development and encompass about 168 acres within beautiful residential surroundings. The entrance to the club is off Mace Boulevard, approximately a mile south of Interstate 80, which gives it easy access from any location.

| Golf Overview |
El Macero Country Club features an 18-hole parkland-style Championship course stretching to 6,862 yards from the furthest set of tees. The course was designed by course architect Bob Baldock, who designed several courses in California and Nevada. The course offers four different sets of tee markers, and the rating and slope from the back tees is 73.0/129. El Macero has served as a qualifying spot for several USGA events over the years, and serves as the home course for UC Davis Men's and Women's golf teams. Notable PGA Tour players that have played in tournaments at El Macero include Byron Nelson, Peter Jacobsen, Tiger Woods, and Nick Watney. El Macero is a quick 12-minute drive from downtown Sacramento, and when serving as the Governor of California, Ronald Reagan used to enjoy the golf experience in between government meetings.
El Macero Country Club has been managed by Troon Golf since 2007. Troon Privé, Troon's private club operating division, includes the most elite private clubs from around the world. As a member you are able to play Privé courses for up to 50% off! In addition, Troon Privé offers El Macero members to play Troon Golf daily fee and resort courses for exclusive discounted rates.
